AML / Compliance Analyst

  • Support the implementation and ongoing maintenance of AML/CTF, sanctions, and regulatory compliance programs across Slovakia and other EU jurisdictions.
  • Monitor transactions and customer activity, investigate alerts and suspicious activity, and escalate concerns as appropriate.
  • Perform KYC, Customer Due Diligence (CDD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), customer risk assessments, beneficial ownership verification, sanctions screening, Politically Exposed Person (PEP) screening, and ongoing customer monitoring.
  • Assist in preparing Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs), Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs), regulatory reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Support regulatory inquiries, audits, inspections, and examinations, including preparing documentation and correspondence with regulatory authorities.
  • Monitor AML/CTF regulatory developments and industry best practices, escalating relevant updates to the Compliance team.
  • Support risk assessments, internal audits, compliance reviews, and control testing activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of due diligence, investigations, risk assessments, and compliance activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support compliance initiatives, training, and the effective implementation of regulatory requirements.
  • Review compliance-related documentation in both Slovak and English, and maintain established Compliance Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Fluent in Slovak.
  • Fluent or near-fluent in written and spoken English; additional languages are an asset.
  • University degree required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in AML compliance (preferably including transaction monitoring, KYC, or cryptocurrency).
  • Willingness to participate in early evening calls and meetings in Poland to accommodate Canadian time zones.
  • Strong computer skills; familiarity with Google Workspace, JIRA, and Confluence.
  • Willingness to travel to Canada for training and occasional meetings.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Salary: From €2,500 gross per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • Standard business hours with occasional early evening meetings to support collaboration with Canadian teams.
