Role in brief
Strike, a bitcoin company, seeks an AML Investigator to conduct transaction monitoring and investigations. This role focuses on analyzing blockchain activity, documenting findings, and supporting the compliance program. Candidates with at least two years of AML experience, including one year in blockchain investigations, and strong analytical skills should apply.
About the role
This role involves investigating transaction monitoring alerts related to potential fraud, sanctions, and other unusual activity within the bitcoin ecosystem. The investigator will use blockchain analytics tools to review on-chain counterparty exposure and trace flagged activity, documenting all conclusions to create a defensible audit trail. A key part of the work includes compiling evidence and case summaries to support suspicious activity determinations and the drafting of SAR narratives.
The investigator will also leverage AI tooling to enhance the speed and thoroughness of casework, providing feedback to improve these tools. While investigations are primary, the role supports broader compliance operations, including external requests, onboarding queues, and remediation. This position requires detecting and escalating anomalies in line with AML and fraud policies, contributing to the overall integrity of Strike's financial system.
Success in this role means effectively identifying and mitigating financial crime risks through diligent investigation and clear documentation. It requires a strong understanding of bitcoin transactions and the ability to interpret on-chain data. The ideal candidate will be adept at working both independently and collaboratively in a remote, fast-paced environment, taking ownership of their responsibilities with a high degree of urgency.
The salary for this full-time remote position ranges from $78,000 to $91,000 USD.
