Backend Engineer

About the role

This role focuses on designing and building the foundational backend systems for SwapRail. Key responsibilities include developing APIs, creating routing and aggregation logic for swap execution, and establishing data pipelines. The engineer will integrate both on-chain and off-chain data sources, such as RPC nodes and third-party APIs, to ensure comprehensive data flow.

The position also involves developing simulation and validation layers for transaction execution and optimizing system performance to achieve low-latency and high-throughput operations. Designing robust data models for quotes, routes, transactions, and execution states is crucial. The engineer will also implement monitoring, logging, and observability across all services to maintain system health and performance.

Collaboration with wallet and frontend teams is an important aspect of this role, ensuring consistent execution flows across the platform. Success in this position means delivering scalable, high-performance backend services that efficiently handle complex routing, data integration, and transaction execution, all while maintaining system stability and observability.

The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $180,000 USD.
