About the role

As Controller at Alchemy, you will oversee the entire accounting function, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency while managing a team. You will be responsible for transforming complex financial data into actionable insights for leadership and investors, as well as managing core accounting operations such as general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Your role will involve managing multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations and developing scalable accounting systems and internal controls. You will also lead tax planning and compliance efforts, collaborate with various teams, and build relationships with external accounting firms. Success in this position means creating a robust accounting infrastructure that supports Alchemy’s rapid growth in the Web3 space.

The salary for this role ranges from $200,000 to $265,000, with additional equity and bonuses.

• Build and lead the end-to-end accounting function.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Leadership experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or similar role.
• Public accounting experience and in-house operating experience.
• Strong ownership of accounting operations and financial reporting.
• Deep technical accounting knowledge, including US GAAP.
• Experience building scalable accounting systems and internal controls.
• Audit-readiness experience.
• Strong business judgment and communication skills.
• People leadership experience.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• Experience in a high-growth startup or later-stage private company.
• NetSuite experience preferred.
• Experience with crypto, digital assets, or blockchain is a plus.
