Job Responsibilities
1. Partner with the Finance team to manage month-end and quarter-end close processes, maintain parallel books in accordance with IFRS, prepare and review reconciliations, support accounting adjustments, and ensure financial records are accurate and well-documented.
2. Prepare and coordinate financial statements, regulatory reporting, audit deliverables, management reporting, and business forecasts in collaboration with the FP&A team.
3. Partner with senior management and business leaders to provide financial insights and support regular leadership reviews and decision-making.
4. Perform financial analysis, business case assessments, and financial modelling to support strategic initiatives and revenue growth opportunities.
5. Identify and drive process improvements through automation, reporting enhancements, dashboard development, and optimisation initiatives.
6. Act as a key point of contact for finance and accounting matters, including interactions with regulators, auditors, and other external stakeholders as required.
7. Oversee outsourced finance service providers, monitor service quality, and manage performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs.
8. Participate in and lead critical projects, including system implementations, vendor transitions, process automation, and finance transformation initiatives.
9. Maintain and periodically review accounting policies, accounting estimates, and financial controls to ensure ongoing compliance and best practice.
Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
2. CPA, CA, ACCA, CMA, ACA, or equivalent professional qualification.
3. Minimum 6 years of finance, accounting, audit, or advisory experience within technology, fintech, financial services, banking, e-commerce, or professional services environments.
4. Minimum 5 years of experience working in a regulated business or regulatory environment.
5. Strong knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, and month-end close processes.
6. Demonstrated experience in financial analysis, business partnering, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
7. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation.
8. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
9. Experience with accounting and finance systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, ApprovalMax, or similar platforms.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
11. Experience in project management, process improvement, automation, or system implementation projects is highly desirable.
