IT & Platform Engineer
Role in brief
Centrifuge is building open infrastructure for real-world assets on blockchain. This role focuses on maintaining cloud infrastructure and supporting engineering operations, including access management, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services. It suits a mid-level engineer with strong Linux, cloud, and CI/CD experience who thrives in a remote, high-compliance environment.
About the role
This position involves managing the daily IT support requests and user access across various platforms like Google Workspace and GitHub. The role ensures smooth operations by handling onboarding, offboarding, and permissions, along with administering SaaS tools and licenses. A key part of the work is to maintain operational documentation and runbooks to ensure common tasks are repeatable and efficient.
The engineer will be responsible for executing deployments and maintaining CI/CD release pipelines using GitHub Actions. This includes operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure on GCP, specifically Cloud Run, IAM, and Cloud Functions, as well as managing Cloudflare for DNS, WAF, and Access. The role also involves building and running monitoring and alerting systems for applications and backend services.
Success in this role means taking ownership of infrastructure initiatives from start to finish, such as migrations, deprecations, and hardening environments. This includes setting up hosting for new internal applications and databases. The position offers a chance to gain hands-on experience with Web3 and blockchain operations within a high-compliance setting, working directly with senior DevOps and Security engineers.
The salary for this position ranges from $98,000 to $162,000 annually.

- Administer SaaS and tooling: account provisioning, license management, and vendor tools day to day.
- Execute deployments and maintain CI/CD release pipelines (GitHub Actions across our repos).
- Operate and maintain cloud infrastructure on GCP (Cloud Run, IAM, Cloud Functions) and Cloudflare (DNS, WAF, Access).
- Create and maintain operational documentation and runbooks so common tasks are repeatable.
- Build and run monitoring and alerting across our applications and backend services.
- Take on infrastructure initiatives end to end: migrations, deprecations, environment hardening, and standing up hosting for new internal apps and databases.
- Learn Web3/blockchain operations hands-on.
- Work across European and US timezones in a fully remote, high-compliance environment where security and quality standards are high.
Education and experience
- 3+ years in DevOps, platform, infrastructure, or strong IT/sysadmin roles.
- Strong Linux/Unix fundamentals and scripting (Bash, Python).
- Hands-on cloud experience (GCP ideal): Cloud Run, IAM, networking.
- CI/CD experience, ideally GitHub Actions; solid Git/GitHub.
- Comfortable owning Cloudflare, DNS, and web-layer security.
- Excellent written English and a documentation-first, process-oriented mindset.
- Comfortable working with AI-assisted tooling to move faster (we lean on it heavily).
Nice to have
- Terraform/IaC, exposure to compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO 27001), and curiosity about Web3/blockchain. Prior Web3 experience is a plus, not a requirement.
Working conditions
- This is a full-time, permanent role.
- We work fully remote with a European base, generally around 09:00 to 17:00 local time, with the flexibility to overlap US hours when something needs it.
- There's an annual learning budget for courses, conferences, and certifications, and the occasional out-of-hours moment when a production incident needs attention, typically only a handful of times a year and always with escalation support behind you.
Reasons to join
- You'd own the operational backbone of a live fintech protocol with over $1B in real assets onchain, working directly alongside a senior DevOps and Security engineer, with room to grow into deeper infrastructure, security, and platform ownership. It's hands-on Web3 and compliance-grade infrastructure experience you won't get in many places, in a small, fast-moving, well-funded team, fully remote and flexible, with real autonomy over the systems you look after.
