Junior Blockchain Accountant
Role in brief
General Tensor is seeking a Junior Blockchain Accountant to support their CFO in preparing for the company's first audit. This role involves managing on-chain and centralized exchange data, reconciling transactions, and contributing to financial statements. It is ideal for someone with 0-2 years of accounting experience and strong crypto fluency who can work independently in a remote setting.
About the role
This role involves hands-on work with blockchain and centralized exchange data. The Junior Blockchain Accountant will pull and reconcile transaction data from various networks and CEX accounts, ensuring consistent classification for accounting purposes. This includes understanding and categorizing on-chain activities such as transfers, swaps, and staking rewards.
A core responsibility is building and maintaining financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow, with accurate representation of crypto holdings and fiat activity. The position also supports month-end close processes by preparing journal entries and reconciliations, and assists in preparing audit workpapers and responding to external auditor requests.
Success in this position means accurately managing complex crypto-related financial data, contributing to robust financial statements, and effectively supporting the CFO during the company's first audit. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently in a remote environment, demonstrating a strong understanding of both accounting principles and blockchain mechanics.
The salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $60,000 annually.
