Risk Manager, CDNA (Risk and Operations, Asia)
Role in brief
Crypto.com seeks a Risk Manager for its trading platform, focusing on risk operations in Asia and Europe. This role involves real-time exposure monitoring, settlement accuracy, and regulatory compliance. It suits a quantitative professional with extensive clearinghouse risk experience and strong Python/SQL skills.
About the role
This role is central to managing risk for Crypto.com's clearing operations, specifically covering Asian and European hours. The primary responsibilities include real-time monitoring of clearing member exposures, ensuring margin adequacy, and promptly escalating any breaches or abnormal trading activity. A key aspect involves overseeing end-of-day settlement pricing and validating cross-asset pricing data essential for margin calculations and default management processes.
The position also involves running operational risk controls for the clearing house, which includes managing guaranty fund sufficiency, collateral eligibility, and setting clearing member position limits. Candidates will be expected to design and implement margin models, develop liquidation strategies, and lead new product listings from a risk perspective. This requires a deep understanding of derivatives and their risk correlations.
Success in this role means effectively responding to regulatory requests, managing audits, and supporting default management drills. The ideal candidate will also drive the design of risk monitoring tools and provide clear, concise risk summaries to senior leadership and regulators. This requires a proactive approach to risk identification and mitigation within a fast-paced trading environment.
The annual salary for this position ranges from $112,000 to $188,000 USD.
