As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will lead significant projects within your team and contribute to cross-team initiatives for Remote's HR and Payroll products. You will also be involved in redesigning engineering work with autonomous agents and developing reusable agentic workflows and primitives.
You will join a cross-functional development team that includes Frontend, Backend, SRE, and QA engineers. The specific team you join will be determined during the interview process, aligning with business needs and your preferences. This setup means you will collaborate closely with various engineering disciplines to deliver comprehensive solutions.
Success in this role involves not only leading development efforts but also actively participating in the team's growth. This includes providing constructive feedback during code reviews, debugging and resolving technical and business challenges, and mentoring other engineers. You will also be expected to investigate and propose improvements to the platform, ensuring the continuous enhancement of Remote's systems.
The annual salary for this Senior Backend Engineer position ranges from $115,000 to $195,500 USD.
