About the role

This Senior Frontend Engineer position at Remote involves leading the development of significant projects within the company's HR and Payroll products. The role requires active participation in the product development cycle, from providing feedback and suggesting solutions to using technical insights to propose product improvements. Success in this role means contributing to a shared codebase and maintaining a strong understanding of both the product and engineering aspects of the team's domain.

The work extends beyond direct feature development to include broader engineering responsibilities. This involves providing constructive feedback during code reviews, debugging technical and business issues, and participating in non-team activities such as support rotations and the hiring process. Candidates should be prepared to investigate, propose, and implement platform improvements, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and API design.

A key aspect of this role is redesigning how engineering work is shipped, with an emphasis on autonomous agents. This includes proposing and operationalizing agentic workflows from specification to verification, and building reusable agentic primitives. The goal is to deliver outcomes faster while ensuring results are correct, secure, reliable, and scalable through verification loops like tests and guardrails.

The salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $195,500 annually.
