Senior QA Automation Engineer

This role focuses on ensuring the quality of a complex financial application for an investment banking client. The work involves a Windows-based UI and a microservices backend, requiring detailed attention to automation and performance testing. Responsibilities include analyzing requirements, creating test scenarios, and developing automated test scripts using Java, Spring Boot, and Cucumber BDD frameworks.

A key part of the role is performing end-to-end API and backend automation testing for microservices, which includes validating financial calculations and large-scale JSON responses. Database validation using SQL queries is also essential. The position requires executing performance, load, and stress testing with JMeter for calculation-intensive components of the application.

Success in this position means continuously improving the automation framework and testing processes. The engineer will identify and track defects using JIRA, participate in code reviews, and maintain automation scripts in Bitbucket. Collaboration with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members is crucial for delivering high-quality software.

The salary for this full-time remote role ranges from $50,000 to $80,000 USD annually.
