Software Engineer, Mobile Web

About the role

This role focuses on integrating Figma's core features into mobile web experiences for both iPhone and Android platforms. The engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining user interfaces and backend services that are embedded within Figma's mobile applications. This involves guiding the transformation of web-first features into robust, mobile-friendly designs, ensuring a consistent and high-quality user experience across devices.

The position requires close collaboration with product managers, designers, and native mobile engineers to bring new functionalities to life. Success in this role means actively participating in the full development lifecycle, from user research and testing to releasing and maintaining the mobile applications. The engineer will also contribute to architectural discussions, document design choices, and provide constructive feedback to peers.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $153,000 to $376,000 USD.

• 4+ years of professional experience building fullstack web-based mobile experiences
• 2+ years of professional experience building native Android or iOS mobile applications
• A strong understanding of mobile product development practices and web product development practices
• Proactive communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative environment with iOS, Android, and web engineers
• A pragmatic approach to software development that delivers real user value through maintainable, performant code
• A strong product sense and desire to deeply understand users
