API Sr Software Engineer I

About the role

This role focuses on designing and implementing API solutions for Zinnia's platform, which accelerates growth in the life and annuities sector. The work involves establishing API policies and guidelines, developing enterprise-level APIs, and integrating a CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management) solution across all internal and external APIs. A key aspect of the position is collaborating with the CIAM team to expand its functionalities.

The Senior Software Engineer will contribute to the technical direction of API development, using an industry-leading API platform like Kong. Success in this position means ensuring robust, secure, and scalable API solutions are in place. The role also includes a mentorship component, guiding junior developers in the correct and timely execution of API implementations.

This position is suited for a senior professional with extensive software development experience, particularly in API governance and versioning. The annual salary for this position ranges from $180,000 to $218,900.
