Role in brief
Alpaca, a global leader in brokerage infrastructure, is hiring a Senior Brokerage Operations Associate to manage the full lifecycle of brokerage accounts. This role involves processing, maintenance, and compliance-related cleanup, requiring strong analytical and communication skills. Candidates with 3+ years in financial services operations, particularly in new accounts or CIP/AML, should apply.
About the role
This role focuses on the day-to-day operations of brokerage accounts, from initial onboarding to closure. Responsibilities include managing escheatment, reviewing statements and trade confirmations, and ensuring data hygiene to meet compliance standards. The position requires a detail-oriented approach to identify issues in large datasets and drive them to resolution, often involving direct database queries.
The Senior Brokerage Operations Associate will work within a team of New Accounts analysts, supporting larger cleanup initiatives led by the New Accounts Principal Manager. A key aspect of the role is to identify and streamline repeatable processes, aiming for increased efficiency and automation over time. This involves collaborating with various internal teams such as Product, Engineering, Data, and Compliance.
Success in this position means effectively managing the account lifecycle, ensuring compliance with CIP requirements, and contributing to the continuous improvement of operational workflows. The ideal candidate will be adept at working independently while also contributing to team projects, demonstrating strong ownership and follow-through in a fast-paced, remote environment.
The salary for this position ranges from $112,000 to $188,000 USD.
