Business Operations and Growth Lead

This role focuses on driving strategic business decisions and optimizing community growth programs. The Business Operations and Growth Lead will align various functions to meet objectives set by senior leadership. This involves leading regular business operations meetings and initiating discussions with cross-functional project teams, including field and online operations, marketing, product, and legal, to ensure key initiatives remain on track within the assigned territory.

A key part of the position involves analyzing macro and micro trends to provide insights and actionable plans to Airbnb's country and regional leadership. The lead will support senior leaders on strategic projects, coordinating across local, regional, and global teams. This includes owning the conception, execution, and measurement of cross-functional initiatives from start to finish, defining problems, articulating solutions, identifying dependencies, and collaborating with stakeholders.

Success in this role means effectively influencing and rallying diverse cross-functional stakeholders towards common goals, using both qualitative and quantitative insights. The ideal candidate can balance detailed execution with a broader understanding of company strategy, prioritizing work, and coordinating support across various functions to achieve project objectives. The initiatives will cover demand, supply, and regulatory aspects of the business.

The base pay for this role ranges from $168,000 to $203,000 USD, with potential eligibility for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

A Typical Day:

• Align all functions in order to achieve objectives set up with the Director, US West.
• Drive regular business operation meetings and initiate meaningful conversations - leading weekly meetings with cross-functional project teams (field & online operations, marketing, product, legal) to ensure key initiatives are on track in our territory.
• Analyze macro and micro trends, and present analysis, insights, and actionable plans to Airbnb country and regional leadership team to drive key business decisions.
• Support the Director, US West and other senior leaders on key strategic projects - lead and implement ad-hoc operational and strategic projects. May require coordination within local country, regional, and teams.
• Own the conception, execution, and measurement of cross-functional initiatives end-to-end. Concretely, this means defining a crisp problem statement, articulating the ideal solution to that problem, identifying key dependencies blocking that solution, and then working with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve the solution. These initiatives will span across the demand, supply, and regulatory surfaces of the business.

Your Expertise:

• Qualified candidates will ideally have a minimum of 10+ years of work experience, preferably with combined exposure to data-modeling, analytics, and project management in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment.
• A world class written and verbal communicator with the ability to present at all levels of an organization in a succinct, clear and eloquent manner.
• A proven track record of being able to influence and rally diverse cross-functional stakeholders against a common mission or goal using both qualitative and quantitative insights.
• Ability to not only dive into details to drive execution but also zoom out to contextualize specific recommendations/initiatives within the broader company strategy.
• Ability to multi-task by prioritizing work and coordinating required support across various functions to achieve project goals and objectives.
• Impeccable organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to document processes & decisions made.
• Experience implementing and scaling initiatives across globally dispersed teams.
• Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments.
• Hands-on approach, getting things done fast.
• Comfort with manipulating large datasets in excel is a must.
• SQL proficiency strongly preferred.
