Construction Project Manager – AI Data Centers

About the role

This role focuses on the day-to-day execution of construction projects for AI data centers. The manager will be responsible for ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget, while also adhering to safety and regulatory requirements. This involves coordinating various parties, including general contractors and subcontractors, and managing materials and equipment to keep projects moving forward.

The position requires close collaboration with design and engineering teams to ensure construction aligns with initial plans and to proactively identify any potential challenges. A key aspect of the role is to support the implementation of standardized construction practices across different sites, contributing to more scalable and repeatable project delivery processes. This manager will also oversee contractor performance, ensuring work quality and adherence to scope.

Success in this role means effectively tracking project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and providing regular updates to leadership. The manager will also be involved in commercial discussions, contract execution, and change order management. Ultimately, the goal is to deliver high-quality data center projects that meet both company and industry standards, contributing to CleanSpark's portfolio of data centers.

The salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $500,000.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day construction execution for AI data center projects, ensuring alignment with program schedules, budgets, and delivery milestones
• Manage and coordinate general contractors, subcontractors, materials, and equipment to maintain progress and resolve issues in real time
• Ensure all construction activities comply with building codes, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
• Partner with design and engineering teams to ensure construction aligns with Basis of Design (BoD) and identify constructability challenges early
• Support implementation of standardized construction and delivery practices across multiple sites
• Manage contractor performance, including scope adherence, schedule execution, and quality of work
• Participate in contract execution, change order management, and commercial discussions with subcontractors and vendors
• Track project schedules and budgets, identify risks to delivery, and implement mitigation strategies
• Oversee quality control, inspections, and commissioning readiness to ensure projects meet company and industry standards
• Provide regular project updates to PMO leadership and coordinate across internal stakeholders including development, design, and operations teams
• Contribute to process improvement efforts to support scalable, repeatable project delivery
• Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience
• 7+ years of experience managing large-scale construction projects from start to finish
• Experience in data center, mission-critical, industrial, or infrastructure construction environments
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations
• Experience managing contractors, subcontractors, budgets, and schedules in complex project environments
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office Suite
• Additional duties as assigned
