Country Director, India

Responsibilities

• Own Coinbase's business performance in India, with direct accountability for user growth, revenue, and long-term market position.
• Drive the country strategy by synthesizing market, regulatory, and competitive analysis into high-impact growth opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional execution in partnership with Marketing, Business Development, Legal, Compliance, and Policy.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Design to shape and launch locally relevant products.
• Shape Coinbase's regulatory and policy positioning in India by engaging directly with regulators and stakeholders.
• Build and develop a high-performing local team.

Requirements

• Senior leadership experience (CEO, COO, GM, Country Head, or Founder) scaling a platform, e-commerce, fintech, or trading business in India.
• Direct experience engaging with Indian financial regulators and policy stakeholders.
• Track record partnering with Product, Marketing, and Business Development in regulated environments.
• Deep understanding of India's regulated financial services ecosystem.
• Proven ability to lead in a remote-first, globally matrixed organization.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly.

Conditions

• Target annual base salary: $98K - $162K.
• Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility and benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).
