About the role

This role focuses on the active management of client cryptocurrency portfolios, ensuring all trading activities align with investment policy statements and established risk limits. The trader will be responsible for executing trades, overseeing asset custody and transfers, and maintaining strict adherence to approval processes and two-person controls. A key aspect of the position involves continuous monitoring of portfolio exposure, liquidity, and concentration, with the authority to rebalance and utilize permitted hedging strategies.

Daily responsibilities include reconciling balances, preparing daily profit and loss statements, and generating monthly client reports. The individual will also play a crucial part in maintaining comprehensive Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and detailed trade records. This meticulous record-keeping is essential for supporting internal audits and external regulatory reviews, ensuring transparency and compliance across all operations.

Success in this position requires a strong background in discretionary trading or portfolio management, coupled with experience in institutional custody operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate robust risk management capabilities and a thorough understanding of U.S. digital-asset regulations, including KYC/AML practices. Proficiency with advanced Excel and portfolio accounting systems is necessary, and basic knowledge of Python and SQL will be beneficial for data analysis and reporting tasks.

The annual salary for this full-time remote position is $120,000.

• 3+ years of discretionary trading or portfolio-management experience.
• Institutional custody operations experience.
• Strong risk management and recordkeeping skills.
• Working knowledge of U.S. digital-asset regulations and KYC/AML practices.
• Tools: advanced Excel and portfolio accounting/reconciliation systems; basic Python/SQL is a plus.
