This role focuses on designing and building AI systems that leverage large language models to enhance internal capabilities. Success in this role means independently owning projects from conception to deployment, utilizing AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery. The engineer will need to demonstrate strong analytical skills to define KPIs and a solid understanding of LLMs to build effective systems. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring adaptability and strong cross-functional communication.

The competitive salary range for this position is $156,000 to $204,000, and the total compensation package may include a target bonus and equity grant.

What You'll Bring

Required

• 5+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or a combined data analytics and AI role.
• Strong SQL proficiency; solid Python experience is a strong plus.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, prompt engineering, and model evaluation pipelines.
• Strong analytical background with experience defining KPIs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub.
• Demonstrated ability to own projects independently.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills.
• Ability to work in the NYC office ~3 days a week.

Nice to Have

• Practical knowledge of Snowflake as a database agent platform.
• Experience with dbt for analytics engineering workflows.
