Founding Designer

About the role

This role involves taking ownership of the visual design across Garage IT's marketplace products, specifically focusing on the end-to-end experiences for both buyers and sellers. You will be responsible for creating high-fidelity designs in close collaboration with marketing and engineering teams, ensuring a cohesive and effective visual language for the platform.

A key part of the work includes developing visually compelling sales and marketing content, including static and video materials, for a broad audience. The position also requires engaging directly with customers, utilizing data and research to inform design iterations and continuously enhance user experiences based on feedback and insights.

As a Founding Designer, you will play a significant role in shaping the future design function at Garage IT. This includes helping to build out the design team as the company grows, with opportunities to specialize in areas that align with your interests. Success in this position means delivering impactful designs that drive user satisfaction and contribute to the platform's expansion.

The annual salary for this role ranges from $85,000 to $130,000.

From the employer

• Own the visual design of our products, mainly relating to end-to-end buyer and seller experiences on the marketplace.
• Create visually compelling sales and marketing materials (static and video) that will be consumed by hundreds of thousands around the country.
• Work closely with marketing and engineering to ship high-fidelity designs.
• Talk to customers and use data, research, and iteration to continuously improve user experiences.
• Help us build out our design team, and dive deep into areas that you find more interesting as we grow.
