Role in brief
Halliday is building a cross-chain payments ecosystem, and this senior role involves expanding their fiat coverage and managing vendor relationships. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and negotiation skills, with a background in payments and an interest in crypto, ready to drive product strategy through partner capabilities.
About the role
This role focuses on expanding Halliday's payment network by increasing fiat coverage and managing key vendor relationships. Responsibilities include defining country-specific support, chargeback policies, and commercial terms, while also building the analytical frameworks needed to justify provider decisions and launches. The work involves a blend of strategic planning and detailed financial analysis to ensure optimal unit economics.
A core part of the position involves end-to-end management of relationships with network partners, including acquirers, stablecoin orchestrators, and KYC vendors. This means leading negotiations, managing service level agreements, and evaluating new opportunities to ensure favorable commercial terms. The role requires translating partner capabilities into actionable product strategies, working closely with other teams to fill coverage gaps.
Success in this position means identifying and prioritizing new corridors for investment, building strong analytical, technical, and business cases to support these initiatives. The Head of Payments Network will be instrumental in shaping the company's payment infrastructure, ensuring that vendor offerings align with Halliday's product vision and contribute to a seamless user experience across their unified payments platform.
The base salary for this role ranges from $200,000 to $300,000, which reflects the minimum and maximum across all US locations and does not include equity or benefits.

From the employer
What you'll be doing
- Own and grow our fiat coverage. Own what we support today and what's next, including country-by-country support, chargeback policies, commercial terms, and unit economics. Build the analytical foundation we use to defend provider and launch decisions.
- Manage vendor relationships end-to-end. Own our relationships with network partners across verticals such as acquirers, stablecoin orchestrators, and KYC vendors. Run negotiations and renewals, manage SLAs, and evaluate new opportunities. You should know what good commercial terms look like and hold the line on them.
- Translate vendor capabilities into product strategy. Turn what partners can do into coverage strategy, unit economics, and integration specs. Work closely with cross-functional partners to inform and close coverage gaps.
- Drive launch sequencing and provider strategy. Identify the next corridors to invest in and make an analytical, technical and business case to pursue them.
What we're looking for
- Analytical Depth: You've built or maintained models that drove real decisions — not been adjacent to them. Strong command of Excel and comfort owning unit-economics analysis.
- Relationship Ownership: You've personally managed PSP, banking, acquirer, or stablecoin orchestrator relationships. You know what good commercial terms look like and have run negotiations yourself.
- Product Judgment: A track record of analysis translating into actual launch or substitution decisions.
- Technical Fluency: You understand how payment integrations work at a high level. APIs, settlement and on-/off-ramp flows, stablecoin-orchestration mechanics, well enough to assess a partner's tech, scope integration specs with Engineering, and make a credible technical case for how provider offerings might fit into ours.
- Payments Experience: 6-10 years in payments, with 3+ in partnerships, product, corp dev, or a related seat in Payments.
- Collaborative Leadership: You build trust and drive alignment across technical and non-technical cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Sales and Legal.
- Crypto Curiosity: You don't need to be crypto-native, but we are looking for candidates with a credible interest in the space.
