About the role

This role focuses on owning and optimizing daily business operations for Coinbase's European Economic Area (EEA) entity. The Senior Associate will be responsible for ensuring consistent performance against targets, identifying risks, and reporting these to leadership. A key part of the work involves enhancing operational and regulatory reporting by refining data sets, constructing dashboards, and generating actionable insights to support decision-making.

The position also requires developing and implementing local operational and outsourcing processes to meet regulatory demands. This includes managing the outsourcing risk management framework and collaborating with various internal teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective third-party risk management. The individual will lead specific cross-functional projects related to operations, growth, strategy, and regulatory priorities.

Success in this role means consistently delivering against operational targets, driving measurable improvements in reporting and process efficiency, and ensuring robust regulatory compliance, particularly around outsourcing and third-party risk. The Senior Associate will support regulatory and product operations activities, including preparing materials for both internal and external meetings, contributing to the overall operational integrity of the EEA business.

The target annual base salary for this position is 111,500 EUR, with total compensation potentially including equity, bonus eligibility, and benefits.

What you'll do:

• Own daily business operations for CBIE across all lines of business, managing consistent performance against targets and surfacing risks or gaps to leadership.
• Drive improvements to operational and regulatory reporting by streamlining data sets, building dashboards, and producing actionable insights using SQL, Snowflake, and Looker.
• Develop and execute local operational and outsourcing processes, procedures, and reporting to meet regulatory requirements, including day-to-day management of the outsourcing risk management framework.
• Partner with functional owners, central teams, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with the outsourcing framework and effective management of third-party risk.
• Lead discrete cross-functional initiatives and ad hoc projects spanning operations, growth, strategy, and regulatory priorities.
• Support regulatory and product operations activities for CBIE, including preparation of materials for internal and external regulatory meetings.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in financial services, management consulting, operations strategy, or data analysis, with demonstrated ability to operate in a regulated environment.
• Proven track record building or improving operational processes end-to-end, from design through implementation and ongoing measurement.
• Proficiency in SQL, Snowflake, and Looker (or comparable BI tools) with demonstrated ability to self-serve insights, interrogate data, and produce dashboards independently.
• Direct experience with outsourcing governance and/or third-party risk management in a regulated financial services setting, including maintaining documentation, controls, SLAs, and governance records.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex, ambiguous problems into structured workplans and execute against them with minimal oversight.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Pay Transparency Notice:

The target annual base salary for this position can range as detailed below. Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility and benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): €111.500—€111.500 EUR.
