Role in brief

Ton is seeking a Product Designer to lead the design of their Telegram Mini App, focusing on AI interactions and visual storytelling for a large user base. This role involves transforming complex AI behaviors into intuitive user experiences within a chat-based interface. Ideal for a designer with experience in consumer products, mobile, or messaging apps, who thrives in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

About the role

This Product Designer role centers on the Telegram Mini App, where you will bring Mira's AI features to life. This includes designing the AI Content Studio, memory functions, and various use-case flows, alongside creating landing pages and visual narratives for the product. You will also contribute to shaping the chat mechanics, influencing how Mira interacts with users.

The product operates within a unique interface that blends chat and app functionalities, requiring innovative design solutions as the rules for this new format are still evolving. You will collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to translate intricate AI behaviors, such as personalization and multi-agent coordination, into experiences that feel natural and user-friendly.

Success in this position means owning the end-to-end design of the core product surface, ensuring that abstract AI capabilities are visualized as clear and compelling features. This involves rapid exploration, prototyping, and iteration, guided by product analytics, user research, and your design judgment. You will also be responsible for maintaining and evolving the design system and overall product quality standards.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $74,750 to $120,750 USD.

Skills that matter here

  • consumer products: The role requires experience designing products for a broad user base, as the Telegram Mini App serves millions.
  • mobile or messaging-based products: Candidates should have a background in shipping features for platforms like Telegram Mini Apps, recognizing the unique constraints of chat interfaces.
  • product thinking: This involves understanding the underlying logic, metrics, and edge cases behind design decisions, crucial for a product with complex AI features.
  • AI / agent products, conversational interfaces, or chat-based apps: A background in these areas is preferred, as the role directly involves designing for AI interactions within a chat environment.
  • designing for trust and privacy: Understanding how to integrate trust and privacy into the user experience, rather than seeing them as obstacles, is a preferred skill for this role.
  • modern design and prototyping tools: Fluency with these tools is expected for rapid exploration, iteration, and maintaining design systems.
