Role in brief
Binance, a major cryptocurrency exchange, is seeking a Risk Control Analyst to focus on card and account takeover (ATO) risks. This role involves designing and implementing risk control strategies, monitoring metrics, and collaborating with various teams. Candidates with experience in fraud prevention and data analysis, particularly with SQL and AI tools, will find this role a good fit.
About the role
This role at Binance centers on managing and mitigating risks associated with card transactions and account takeovers. The analyst will be responsible for developing and deploying risk rules across the card lifecycle, from account opening to transaction authorization and dispute resolution. This includes monitoring risk metrics, conducting post-event analysis, and continuously refining control effectiveness.
A significant part of the position involves designing and refining strategies to detect and prevent account takeover attempts. This includes building detection pipelines across various scenarios like login, device changes, and transactions, utilizing diverse risk signals such as device, IP, and behavioral data. The analyst will analyze emerging attack patterns and translate these insights into actionable defense mechanisms.
Success in this position requires strong analytical skills to extract risk features from data, construct detection logic, and measure the efficacy of control measures. The analyst will also work closely with data and engineering teams to implement risk models and rules, and participate in cross-functional projects involving payment, compliance, and product teams to integrate risk controls effectively.
The annual salary for this position ranges from 52,000 USD to 88,000 USD.
