Role in brief

Figma is seeking a Senior Analyst for SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP. This role involves preparing SEC filings, researching complex accounting issues, and contributing to the monthly close. Candidates with public accounting experience and a strong grasp of GAAP principles, particularly those who can work independently and manage deadlines, are encouraged to apply.

About the role

This role focuses on the preparation and review of financial reporting documents for public disclosure. The Senior Analyst will support the creation of quarterly and annual SEC filings, including financial statements, footnotes, and management discussion and analysis sections. A key part of the work involves ensuring all reporting adheres to US GAAP standards and current SEC regulations, requiring continuous monitoring of new pronouncements and their potential impact.

The position requires a deep dive into technical accounting, where the analyst will research and document positions on complex transactions. This includes areas such as equity compensation, business combinations, capitalized software, and leases. The role also contributes to the monthly and quarterly financial close processes, handling tasks like balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses, ensuring data accuracy.

Success in this role means consistently delivering accurate and compliant financial reports while effectively managing multiple priorities under strict deadlines. The Senior Analyst will collaborate with various internal departments, including Legal, FP&A, and Investor Relations, to gather necessary information and coordinate deliverables. Maintaining internal accounting policies and process documentation within a SOX-compliant framework is also a core responsibility.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $127,000 to $221,000 USD.
