  • Own close protection operations for designated principals during routine activities, travel, and events, maintaining constant situational awareness and proactively mitigating threats in real time.
  • Lead detailed advance work including on-site assessments, venue surveys, route planning, contingency planning, and development of emergency action plans (EAPs) and operational plans (CONOPS).
  • Partner with Protective Intelligence to integrate current threat assessments, persons of interest, and geopolitical developments into route selection, venue choice, staffing levels, and technical mitigations.
  • Coordinate security planning and on-site execution for executive offsites, media appearances, public engagements, and internal events alongside event security, physical security, and third-party providers.
  • Build trusted relationships with principals, executive business partners, and family office staff while maintaining strict professionalism, discretion, and clear professional boundaries.
  • 5+ years of experience in executive protection, dignitary protection, or high-threat protection, with demonstrated success conducting protective advances, secure transportation, and close protection in complex or high-profile environments.
  • Military or law enforcement background with successful completion of a formal executive protection training course and current medical certifications (CPR/AED, TECC or higher).
  • Proven ability to operate with discretion and composure when working with senior executives, including managing irregular schedules, rapid operational changes, and approximately 50% domestic and international travel.
  • Valid driver's license with clean record and demonstrated proficiency in defensive/security-oriented driving, plus ability to obtain and retain a California Guard Card and Exposed Firearms Permit (BSIS).
  • Familiarity with protective intelligence workflows, threat assessment methodologies, and post-event after-action review processes in a corporate or high-visibility context.
  • Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
  • Base salary varies by location (see range below). Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).
  • Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): $130,900—$154,000 USD.
