Senior Full-Stack Software Developer

About the role

This role focuses on developing and maintaining distributed systems and enterprise applications. The work involves clarifying requirements, participating in sprint planning, and taking ownership of architectural decisions for services and integrations. This includes considerations for service decomposition, communication patterns, technology selection, and scalability. The developer will also be responsible for writing unit and integration tests.

The successful candidate will collaborate with a diverse team that includes frontend and backend developers, data analysts, data scientists, architects, and project managers. Beyond development, the role extends to supporting QA teammates during the acceptance process. This ensures the quality and reliability of the software being delivered.

Success in this position means actively contributing to the reliability and performance of distributed systems. This includes performing production diagnostics, conducting root cause analysis for issues, and implementing reliability improvements. Collaboration with platform engineering teams is key to addressing these challenges effectively and ensuring system stability.

The listed annual salary for this position is between $50,000 and $80,000 USD.

• Minimum 10 years within the IT industry.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems concepts, including asynchronous communication, messaging patterns, resiliency, idempotency, retries, and eventual consistency (8y+).
• Expert-level knowledge of C#/.NET, including asynchronous programming, multithreading, memory management, garbage collection, synchronization primitives, and performance optimization (8y+).
• Experience designing enterprise-grade REST APIs, including contract design, versioning, security, idempotency, and backward compatibility.
• Experience designing and implementing enterprise applications using SOA and/or microservices architectures.
• Other experience includes the following: WPF, TypeScript, React/Redux, Python (3+ years).
• Strong experience with unit & integration testing.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Mongo DB (3+ years).
• Experience of Entity Framework.
• Experience working with Azure (Azure services).
• Experience working with Kubernetes.
• Familiar with CI/CD (Azure Pipelines).
• Algorithmic and out of box thinking while working with requirements.

• Bachelor in IT or related field.
