Senior Software Engineer, Front End

About the role

As a Senior Front-End Engineer at Figure, you will be responsible for leading the development of web applications that support blockchain-based financial products. This involves overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initial technical scoping through to final production deployment. Your work will directly contribute to transforming capital markets by leveraging blockchain technology for loan origination, funding, and trading.

A key aspect of this role is establishing and maintaining high engineering standards. You will achieve this through active participation in code reviews, providing architectural guidance, and directly mentoring junior and mid-level engineers. This position requires you to act as a technical decision-maker, collaborating closely with product managers and designers to shape product direction and advocate for best practices in engineering.

Success in this role means independently driving projects to completion while also identifying and implementing improvements across tooling, testing, documentation, and performance. You will be expected to take full ownership of your initiatives, ensuring they meet both technical requirements and business objectives. The compensation for this role ranges from $119,680 to $149,600 annually, with an additional 25% annual bonus target.

• Lead the design and delivery of complex, high-impact features in our React web applications, from technical scoping through production
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects by defining technical approach, managing execution, and driving them to completion independently
• Establish and uphold engineering standards through code reviews, architectural guidance, and hands-on mentorship of junior and mid-level engineers

• 5+ years of engineering experience, with a track record of delivering complex frontend projects end-to-end
• Deep proficiency in HTML, CSS, React, and TypeScript
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and drive projects to completion with minimal supervision
• Experience making architectural decisions and setting technical standards on a team
• Strong understanding of responsive design, mobile-first development, and accessible application patterns
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to align cross-functional stakeholders
• Experience mentoring engineers and elevating team capabilities

• Experience with automated testing frameworks

• Compensation Range: $119,680 - $149,600/yr
