About the role

The Senior Software Engineer on the Money Team will focus on the core financial infrastructure at Gemini. This includes designing, developing, and deploying ledger and payment services that accurately track all crypto and fiat movements. The role also involves building and evolving settlement and reconciliation pipelines that link Gemini with external banking partners and payment rails.

A key aspect of this position is ensuring the integrity and reliability of financial systems. This means applying engineering principles to identify and mitigate correctness, consistency, and operational risks before they lead to incidents. The engineer will collaborate closely with finance, reconciliation, and treasury teams to translate real-world financial workflows into robust, auditable system behaviors.

Success in this role requires developing scalable APIs and data models capable of supporting new transaction types, products, and regulatory demands without increasing operational complexity. The engineer will write production-grade code, monitor system health, proactively address issues, and participate in incident response. Mentoring teammates and contributing to on-call rotations are also part of the responsibilities.

The salary range for this role is between $140,000 and $200,000 USD.
