Senior Web & UI Designer

About the role

This role focuses on leading the complete design cycle for Ondo Finance's web presence, from initial concepts to production-ready specifications. The designer will be responsible for maintaining high standards of craft, brand consistency, and visual storytelling. This includes translating brand positioning and product narratives into compelling visual experiences that resonate with the company's mission in decentralized finance.

A key aspect of this position involves developing and maintaining web design systems that are scalable across various pages, campaigns, and components, ensuring consistency while allowing for creative flexibility. The Senior Web & UI Designer will work directly with front-end developers, acting as a partner throughout the build process by providing clear, developer-ready specifications and remaining engaged through implementation.

Success in this role means delivering fully responsive designs that function across all breakpoints, demonstrating a deep understanding of layout systems. It also involves producing UI visual assets, ensuring consistency across product surfaces in collaboration with the product design team, and creating high-fidelity interactive prototypes to test designs before development begins. The role requires navigating ambiguity while working across both marketing and product contexts.

The salary for this role ranges from $140,000 to $250,000 USD, with competitive compensation that may also include future token rights and/or equity.

• Figma: Expert command of Figma is required, including components, variables, auto layout, and prototyping, to lead end-to-end web design.

• Partner closely with marketing to translate brand positioning and product narratives into compelling, on-brand visual experiences.
• Own and evolve web design systems that scale across pages, campaigns, and components — maintaining consistency without sacrificing creative range.
• Work directly with front-end developers as a true build partner delivering clean, developer-ready specs and staying engaged through implementation.
• Design and prototype motion thoughtfully — page transitions, micro-interactions, and scroll behaviors that feel intentional, not decorative.
• Deliver fully responsive designs across all breakpoints, with deep command of layout systems and how they behave at scale.
• Produce UI visual assets and maintain visual consistency across product surfaces, working in close partnership with the product design team.
• Build high-fidelity, interactive prototypes that communicate ideas clearly and pressure-test designs before development begins.

• 6+ years of experience in web and UI design, with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional craft and range.
• Expert command of Figma — components, variables, auto layout, and prototyping.
• Strong design systems thinking: you build systems, not just screens.
• Fluency in motion design principles — you know when to use it and when to pull back.
• Deep understanding of responsive design and CSS layout models (grid, flexbox, breakpoints).
• Proven ability to collaborate with front-end developers and communicate design intent clearly in technical terms.
• Strong visual and typographic sensibility grounded in brand coherence.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working across marketing and product contexts simultaneously.
