Staff Software Engineer, Backend

About the role

This role focuses on developing and maintaining the core backend systems that power crypto trading for a global user base. The work involves ensuring these systems are highly performant and available, capable of supporting various instrument types. A key aspect of the position is translating conceptual ideas into functional, high-value features for the trading platform.

The Staff Software Engineer will work closely with product and design teams to deliver a high-quality user experience. This collaboration is essential for integrating technical solutions with user-centric design principles. The engineer is expected to contribute to the overall product excellence and demonstrate a strong focus on customer needs.

Beyond direct development, this position includes providing technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers within the team. Success in this role means not only delivering robust technical solutions but also elevating the technical capabilities of the team and fostering a culture of continuous improvement in system design and maintenance.

The salary range for this position is between $218,025 and $256,500 USD, not including potential equity or bonus.
