This role involves leading multiple projects from start to finish, coordinating efforts across different teams like Engineering, Product, Compliance, and Risk. The work includes monitoring project scope, objectives, timelines, and potential risks, ensuring all aspects are on track. A key part of the job is facilitating discussions and documenting decisions to keep everyone informed and aligned.

The Technical Program Manager will also establish governance processes, manage status reporting, and prepare communications for executives. Success in this position means continuously monitoring program performance using key indicators and supporting the entire development and release cycle, including deployments and change management, with clear communication to all partners.

This position requires collaboration with various internal departments and external partners, including third-party vendors and financial institutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and agile methods, applying these to manage large-scale technical projects that involve distributed systems and cloud platforms.

The compensation for this role is between $121,000 and $180,000 USD.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple projects and programs across product and engineering teams
• Continuously monitor scope, objectives, milestones, timelines, dependencies, risks, and success metrics
• Coordinate amongst cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Compliance, Risk, Security, Operations, and external partners
• Facilitate technical and business discussions, and take notes to ensure informed decision-making
• Establish governance processes, status reporting, and executive communications
• Monitor program performance using KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics
• Support development and release cycles: production deployments, change management, breaking changes, and communication thereof to both internal and external partners
• Collaborate with third-party vendors, financial institutions, and technology partners when required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in domains such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
• 4–7 years of experience in Technical Program Management or Technical Project Management
• 2+ years of experience in supporting fintech initiatives, such as banking, payments, trading, or other financial services concepts
• Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
• Experience managing large-scale technical projects involving distributed systems, APIs, cloud platforms, etc
• General knowledge of financial regulations and compliance frameworks such as KYC, AML, Customer Risk Rating, Watchlists, etc.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Asana, or similar platforms
