About the role

This role focuses on maintaining the accuracy and integrity of Gauntlet's financial records. The Accountant will be responsible for the full cycle of accounting tasks, including preparing journal entries, managing accruals, and performing reconciliations for bank, balance sheet, and general ledger accounts. A key part of the work involves supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and assisting with financial statement preparation.

The position also covers accounts payable and receivable, which includes processing invoices, managing vendor payments, handling customer invoicing, and tracking collections. Additionally, the Accountant will administer spend management platforms like Ramp, review employee expense reports for compliance, and reconcile corporate card activity. This ensures all transactions are accurately coded and recorded in a timely manner.

Success in this role means contributing to robust financial controls and efficient processes. The Accountant will prepare documentation for audits, support tax compliance, and maintain organized accounting records. There is also an expectation to identify and implement process improvements, including supporting automation efforts, to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the accounting function.

The national base pay range for this role is between $100,000 and $110,000, with additional potential for incentive compensation and equity.

  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process
  • Prepare journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2–4 years of accounting experience, including increasing responsibility in month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Candidates may be considered at the IC2 level based on experience, demonstrated ownership, and scope of prior responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial statement presentation
  • Experience preparing journal entries and reconciliations
  • Experience supporting month-end close processes
  • Strong understanding of balance sheet and income statement relationships
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills

The national pay range for this role is $100,000 - $110,000 base plus additional On Target Earnings potential by level and equity in the company.
