Backend Engineer: Ranking

About the role

Constructor, founded in 2019, specializes in AI-driven ecommerce solutions that enhance product discovery for shoppers and boost revenue for brands. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining high-load, real-time services that are crucial for the platform's functionality.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize ranking features and improve internal tools. Success will be measured by your ability to enhance performance and deliver effective machine learning model inference while aligning with stakeholder requirements.

The salary range for this position is $80,500 to $138,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

• Python: You will use Python for server-side coding and developing real-time services.
• CloudFormation: Experience with CloudFormation will help manage cloud resources effectively.
• Terraform: Terraform proficiency is essential for Infrastructure as Code practices.

Hard skills:

• Experience in designing, developing & maintaining high-load distributed real-time services (in cloud)
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation or Terraform for managing cloud resources.
• Experience with MLOps is a huge plus (delivering, loading, and serving ML models and related infrastructure)
• Hands-on experience with setting up and improving CI/CD pipelines
• Proficiency with Python and, as a plus, compiled languages like C, Rust, or Go.
• Experience in server-side coding for web services, and a good understanding of API design principles.
• Experience with NoSQL and relational databases, distributed systems, and caching solutions.
• Experience with any of the major public cloud formation: AWS (ideally), Azure, GCP
