Head of Cross-Border Payments

About the role

In the role of Head of Cross-Border Payments, you will be responsible for shaping and executing the strategy for Coins' global payments business. Your leadership will drive the growth of cross-border payment solutions, ensuring effective partnerships with banks and other financial institutions.

You will oversee the development of payment corridors and work closely with various teams, including Product and Engineering, to deliver scalable payment solutions. Success in this position means establishing a high-performing payments team and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

The salary range for this role is between $105,000 and $175,000, reflecting the seniority and responsibilities involved.

• Lead the strategy, growth, and execution of the company's global cross-border payments business.
• Develop and manage partnerships with banks, payment service providers, e-wallets, remittance companies, and other financial institutions.
• Expand payment corridors across collections, payouts, remittance, Fiat On/Off Ramp, and stablecoin payment solutions.
• Drive the development of global fiat and digital asset payment networks.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Risk teams to deliver scalable payment solutions.
• Oversee payment operations, settlement processes, liquidity management, and transaction performance.
• Ensure compliance with applicable payment regulations, AML/KYC requirements, and sanctions controls.
• Build and lead a high-performing payments team across multiple markets.

• Bachelor's degree or above.
• 10+ years of experience in payments, banking, fintech, remittance, or digital asset industries.
• Strong experience in cross-border payments, remittance, e-wallets, payment infrastructure, or crypto payment ecosystems.
• Deep understanding of banking partnerships, settlement, treasury flows, and payment operations.
• Familiarity with payment licensing, AML/KYC, sanctions compliance, and regulatory frameworks.
• Proven track record in business development and strategic partnerships.
• Fluent English communication skills; experience working in global organizations is preferred.
