About the role

This role focuses on the legal aspects of OKX's marketing and intellectual property. The successful candidate will manage the company's global IP portfolio, including trademarks and creative assets, and work with external counsel on registrations and enforcement. A significant part of the work involves advising marketing teams on campaigns, content, and sponsorships in various countries, ensuring compliance with local regulations.

The position also requires drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a range of commercial contracts, such as sponsorship, advertising, and vendor agreements. The Legal Counsel will partner with internal teams like Regulatory and Product to identify potential issues early and direct them to appropriate specialists. Building internal resources like playbooks and templates will empower marketing teams to handle routine legal questions independently.

Success in this role means effectively protecting OKX's brand and intellectual property while enabling marketing and commercial initiatives. This involves providing clear, practical legal advice to non-legal colleagues and demonstrating sound judgment in escalating complex issues. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with data and understanding marketing performance alongside legal text.

The annual salary for this role ranges from $98,000 to $162,000.
