About the role

This role focuses on navigating the complex global regulatory landscape for a fintech and blockchain company. The Legal Counsel will be responsible for leading and project-managing applications for various financial licenses, including VASP, MiCA, and MSB, across different regions. This involves understanding specific regulatory requirements and ensuring the company meets them to operate legally in new markets.

A key part of the work involves continuous monitoring and analysis of evolving crypto regulations from bodies like the SEC, CFTC, FCA, and MAS. The Legal Counsel will brief the executive team on these developments, ensuring they are informed about potential impacts. This proactive approach helps the company adapt its strategies to comply with new legal frameworks.

Collaboration with the Compliance team is central to this position. The Legal Counsel will translate regulatory requirements into practical operational policies and workflows that are ready for audits. Success in this role means effectively managing complex projects independently while also integrating well within a team, ensuring regulatory adherence across all company operations.

The compensation for this role ranges from $112,000 to $188,000 annually.
