The annual salary for this position ranges from $200,000 to $250,000, in addition to a discretionary bonus.

What You’ll Do:

• Act as a strategic legal advisor for Galaxy with respect to ISDAs/ CSAs, confirms, prime brokerage agreements, lending and vendor transactions;
• Advisor on swap dealer related rules;
• Focus on negotiating documentation with hedge funds, crypto native firms, investment companies, individuals, miners and other institutional clients;
• Coordinate resources with respect to negotiations, including management of outside counsel engagement where appropriate;
• Collaborate with other functional partners and businesses to ensure appropriate awareness and escalation of issues;
• Assisting with implementing global regulatory and market changes affecting trading and documentation;
• Draft and negotiate non-disclosure agreements;
• Manage workflow in a highly dynamic and demanding environment while remaining highly responsive, reliable, communicative, and accountable to team leadership and other members of Galaxy;
• Help with other special projects and such other activities as may be assigned;
• Embrace and champion the thoughtful adoption of AI to improve team performance and business outcomes;
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, data copilots) to improve productivity, decision-making, and output quality in your day-to-day work.

What We’re Looking For:

• The ideal candidate will be highly organized, have meticulous attention to detail and a demonstrable ability to produce quality work product in a fast-paced, high-volume environment;
• Ability to apply traditional financial legal concepts within the crypto space to address unique or ambiguous situations and to find solutions to problems that can be complex and uncommon;
• Over 6+ years of transactional experience reviewing various financial transaction agreements, primarily ISDA/CSAs, trade confirmations and prime brokerage agreements;
• Product knowledge and transactional or regulatory experience within the OTC derivatives and swap dealer businesses;
• Experience traditional financial markets, preferable experience at a sell side bank supporting derivative desks;
• Ability to work well in fast-paced business and evolving legal environment and to manage multiple projects simultaneously;
• Highly motivated, self-starter who takes initiative;
• Positive attitude, and willingness to roll up sleeves (no job too big, no job too small);
• Ability to think creatively and propose commercially pragmatic solutions;
• Collaborative team member with a high level of professionalism and business judgment;
• Excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Active membership in the NY state bar.
