OTC Desk Trader

About the role

This role focuses on executing large-volume crypto trades for institutional clients within the APAC region. The trader will be the primary contact for clients, ensuring trades are pre-funded or have credit facilities, and managing timely settlements. Success in this position involves maintaining strong client relationships and efficiently handling trade operations.

A key part of the job is managing the Profit and Loss for the APAC OTC desk. This includes analyzing digital asset markets, creating specifications for system improvements, and evaluating risk frameworks. The trader will also ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies, maintaining detailed records of all trading activities.

The position requires a candidate who can onboard new institutional clients and grow existing accounts. It demands adaptability to a fast-paced trading environment and meticulous attention to detail in trade execution. The trader will also contribute to generating regular reports for stakeholders and resolving any trade disputes.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $135,000 to $225,000 USD.

• Qualify and onboard OTC Customers
• Act as the main point of contact for customers to execute large trades
• Ensure anticipated OTC trades are pre-funded or have adequate credit facilities
• Maintain strong relationships with traders and institutional customers
• Manage OTC trade disputes and Working Capital
• Ensure timely settlement through established processes
• Execute trades according to approved strategies
• Actively manage the Profit and Loss of the APAC OTC desk
• Conduct in-depth analyses of digital asset markets
• Ensure compliance with local regulations and internal policies
• Maintain accurate records of trades, P/L, risk, and performance metrics
• Generate regular reports for stakeholders
• Create specifications for improvements to Trading and Risk Systems
• Evaluate and motivate for improvement of risk frameworks

• Minimum of 2 years of trading experience within a brokerage or sell-side OTC trading desk in crypto, FX, equities or derivatives
• Proven track record of onboarding and growing institutional client accounts
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced trading environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in trade execution
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and verbal
• Strong understanding of OTC trading and market structure (preferred)
• Familiarity with trading platforms and APIs (preferred)
