Product Engineer

About the role

This role focuses on bridging customer needs with product development in the AI-driven blockchain security space. The Product Engineer will engage directly with protocol teams to understand their requirements, translating these conversations into concrete product and UI changes. A significant part of the job involves shipping these changes personally, emphasizing a hands-on approach to development rather than just specification.

The position also involves improving the AI pipelines that determine the quality of findings reaching customers, including prompting, judging, and false-positive reduction. Building and maintaining benchmarks to assess product improvements is another key responsibility. The engineer will make product decisions in ambiguous situations and drive work forward without constant oversight, working closely with developers and security researchers.

Success in this role means taking ownership of a core product area and continuously improving it based on customer feedback and AI advancements. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with frequent technical customer calls, transforming discussions into actionable product enhancements, and maintaining a current understanding of practical AI and LLM developments to boost developer velocity and product quality.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $160,000 USD, in addition to tokens/equity and benefits.

• Senior-level Python experience with a track record of shipping SaaS or software products to production
• Comfort owning UI work end-to-end in a modern frontend stack (we use Next.js / TypeScript): thinking through the UX flow, mapping out the possible states a screen can be in, and translating that into a working UI yourself. Not a designer role, but you genuinely enjoy this part of the job.
• Daily use of LLMs in your workflow, plus hands-on experience shipping a feature whose value depends on LLM output quality — prompting, judging, retrieval, evals, or similar.
• Comfortable on calls with technical customers — this is a recurring part of the job, not occasional. You enjoy turning a customer conversation into a product change.
• High agency: comfortable working without a PM, designer, or eng manager handing you scoped tickets. You decide what to build, scope it yourself, and ship it.
• Working hours that meaningfully overlap with US or EU timezones.
