This role involves end-to-end ownership of forecasting, budgeting, and monthly financial deliverables for Consumer OpEx. The analyst will build and maintain financial models to quantify risks and opportunities, conduct monthly variance analysis, and ensure data integrity in financial reporting. The Senior Finance & Strategy Analyst will partner closely with Consumer Product, Engineering, and Design teams, translating financial insights into actionable recommendations for resource allocation. This involves presenting financial analyses during business reviews and converting complex data into clear strategic guidance. The role also requires proactive deep-dive analyses to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for efficiency in operational spending.

The FP&A team at Coinbase is central to the company's strategic execution, ensuring that resources are deployed effectively to support its mission. This position operates in a high-intensity environment, requiring individuals who can push past perceived limits and contribute to building the future of finance. The company is remote-first but expects quarterly in-person working sessions, known as "surges."

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $130,900 to $154,000 USD, with the exact amount varying by location.

• Build and maintain driver-based financial models that quantify risks, opportunities, and scenario outcomes for Consumer leadership.
• Drive monthly variance analysis and month-end close for your areas, partnering with Accounting to maintain data integrity across all financial reporting.
• Partner with Consumer Product, Engineering, Design, and cross-functional leads to translate financial insights into actionable resource allocation recommendations.
• Lead the preparation and presentation of financial analyses during business reviews, converting complex data into clear strategic recommendations.
• Execute proactive deep-dive analyses to surface trends, anomalies, and efficiency opportunities across Consumer operational spend.

• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or corporate finance with direct ownership of OpEx planning (headcount, marketing spend, product operations, or similar categories).
• Track record managing operating large expense budgets, delivering forecasts, and producing variance analysis that informed executive decisions.
• Demonstrated experience building driver-based financial models and scenario analyses in Excel, with proficiency in SQL for data analysis and at least one planning tool (e.g., Anaplan, NetSuite).
• History of partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, or Design teams to align financial plans with business priorities and influence resource allocation.
• Experience in a high-growth tech, fintech, or financial services environment with comfort operating across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

• Base salary varies by location (see range below). Total compensation may also include equity and bonus eligibility, and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).
• Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus): $130,900—$154,000 USD.
