About the role

This role involves designing and developing features for GeckoTerminal, a DEX tracker, and contributing to the broader cryptocurrency data platform. The work includes both backend and frontend development, executing the full software development lifecycle from conception to deployment. A key part of the job is ensuring code quality through writing clean, reusable, and maintainable code.

The position requires participation in bug rotation and pager duty, indicating a commitment to system reliability and responsiveness. Additionally, the engineer will build and maintain background jobs essential for data synchronization, which is critical for CoinGecko's data platform. Success in this role means consistently delivering functional features, maintaining robust systems, and contributing to a stable codebase.

Beyond development tasks, the engineer is expected to conduct code reviews, upholding best practices within the team. Documentation is also a responsibility, requiring concise and coherent writing. The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $200,000 USD.
