About the role

This role focuses on leading the ad monetization strategy for a widely used health and fitness application. The consultant will be responsible for managing relationships with ad networks, including negotiations and SDK implementations, and identifying new network opportunities. A key part of the work involves analyzing revenue metrics and proposing experiments to optimize ad performance.

The consultant will work closely with product teams to balance ad monetization with other revenue streams like subscriptions and in-app purchases, as well as user experience factors such as engagement and retention. This involves understanding the trade-offs and finding solutions that support both business goals and user satisfaction. Regular audits of ad performance indicators like fill rates and eCPMs are also required.

Success in this position means driving revenue growth through effective ad operations while maintaining a positive user experience. The consultant will be expected to improve eCPMs by gaining insights into user behavior and to mentor internal product, design, and engineering teams on best practices in ad monetization, tooling, and vendor management.

The annual salary for this part-time position ranges from $92,000 to $149,500.
