About the role

This Brand Designer role at Giga focuses on developing and executing the company's visual strategy. A significant portion of the work involves creating compelling visuals for product launches, industry events, and web content, ensuring consistency and impact across all platforms. The designer will be responsible for producing polished hero assets and their derivatives for various uses, from social media to sales presentations.

A core responsibility is to define and maintain a comprehensive brand system and guidelines. This includes establishing components, typography, color palettes, illustration styles, and photography direction, with the goal of enabling non-designers across the company to produce on-brand materials independently. The aim is to create a durable system that scales beyond individual design involvement.

The role also includes providing cross-functional design support for internal and external communications, such as sales decks, recruiting materials, and executive presentations. This work, while not always portfolio-centric, contributes to the company's overall professional image. Success in this position means consistently delivering high-quality visual assets that align with business objectives and can be easily adopted by various teams.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $310,000.

  • Your portfolio demonstrates a broad range of design experience, including editorial, industrial, and technical work.
  • You approach design with a clear understanding of its connection to business objectives, rather than solely focusing on user delight.
  • You are capable of delivering launch creative quickly, moving from concept to final delivery within days.

From the employer

What You’ll Own

  • Launch & campaign creative (50%): The visual work behind product launches, conferences and industry events, and recurring web and social hero work. Stack: Figma + AI image and video tools + light motion. Quality control: every launch ships with one polished hero and a system of derivatives — social, web, sales deck, partner-facing — not one-off renders.
  • Brand system & guidelines (35%): The durable system that lets non-designers ship on-brand. Components, type scale, color tokens, illustration patterns, photography direction, and a clear do-not-do list (no SaaS-pastel, no gradient-on-gradient, no abstract blobs, no stock illustration). Quality control: usable by PMM, recruiting, and sales without a designer in the loop for every asset.
  • Cross-functional design support (15%): Sales decks, recruiting collateral, exec keynote visuals, internal launches. The work that doesn’t make a portfolio but makes the company look serious.

Who You Are

  • You’ve built brand systems that scaled past you — non-designers ship on-brand work without you in the loop.
  • Your portfolio shows range: editorial, industrial, technical.
  • You understand that design is inherently tied to the business, not user delight.
  • You ship launch creative on cadence: comp to delivery in days, not weeks.
  • You move fluidly between Figma and AI tools and have opinions about when each one helps versus dilutes.
  • You can name three brands you admire that aren’t in tech and explain why.

Perks & Benefits

  • Catered lunch daily + dinner stipend
  • $150/month wellness benefit (gym, fitness classes, mental health)
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) plan
  • Paid parental leave (12 weeks maternal, 6 weeks paternal)
