About the role

This role focuses on enhancing a portfolio of insurance products for a major US provider. The AQA Engineer will assess current test coverage, design new automated UI and API tests, and maintain the existing Test Automation Framework built with Playwright and TypeScript. The work involves ensuring new features are testable and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.

The engineer will collaborate with various cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to align testing efforts with business priorities. A key aspect of the role is proactively identifying quality process gaps and proposing improvements. Success means delivering robust end-to-end, integration, and regression test suites, and providing clear test reports to stakeholders.

Responsibilities also include developing and maintaining comprehensive test suites and communicating effectively with customers and stakeholders in English. The position requires experience in defining, collecting, and analyzing test metrics to monitor efficiency and effectiveness of testing processes.

The annual salary for this role ranges from $80,500 to $138,000.

• Initially, assess existing test coverage and test strategy to align with evolving application workflows and new business requirements.
• Design, develop, and implement robust automated test scenarios for new UI components and APIs.
• Maintain and enhance our Test Automation Framework (TAF), leveraging Playwright (TypeScript).
• Integrate automated tests seamlessly into Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, primarily using Azure DevOps.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive end-to-end, integration, and regression test suites.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure new features are designed and implemented with testability in mind.
• Proactively identify gaps in existing quality processes and propose innovative improvements.
• Communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders through various channels (email, messengers, calls) in English.

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in AQA/Test Automation roles.
• Strong test automation expertise, with a proven track record in building and maintaining robust Test Automation Frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in SQL for database testing, query validation, and understanding data structures.
• Required familiarity with integrating automated testing within Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, especially with Azure DevOps, to enhance development velocity and product quality.
• Ability to define, collect, and analyze test metrics to monitor efficiency and effectiveness, and provide clear, actionable test reports to all stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, enabling seamless teamwork with cross-functional teams including Developers, Product Managers, and other key stakeholders.
• English proficiency of at least B2.
