Technical strategy:

Organizational Leadership:

  • Attract, hire, and empower the most talented engineers.
  • Maintain and raise standards of excellence and craft across the organization.
  • Quantify the impact of engineering standards on the business.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Communicate the Engineering strategy with teammates inside and outside of the organization.
  • Bring technical expertise to crucial business conversations at the executive level.
  • Help engineering teams advocate for their work across the business.

Engineering Investments:

  • Own the Engineering P&L and manage costs in partnership with the strategic finance team.
  • Communicate clearly about where investments are made and why.

Roadmap execution:

  • Collaborate with Product and Design in a shared ownership model.
  • Deliver great products that drive business results and continuously innovate.

  • Background as an engineer with the ability to operate in details when necessary.

  • Scrappy and creative, able to work with limited resources.
