About the role

This Assurance Senior role involves leading day-to-day audit and advisory activities for clients in the blockchain and digital assets sector. You will work closely with leaders and partners, taking responsibility for the execution and delivery of engagements throughout the year. The position requires communicating and resolving audit matters as they arise, supported by an engagement manager.

A key aspect of this role is client interaction, where you will develop and maintain relationships to ensure client satisfaction. You will also be expected to research, understand, and apply complex accounting concepts and auditing procedures specific to the blockchain industry. This includes drafting financial reports and presenting audit findings both verbally and in writing.

The role also includes mentorship responsibilities, as you will supervise and delegate tasks to associate-level professionals. You will contribute to their development by providing training, regular feedback, and career guidance, fostering a collaborative team environment. Success in this position means effectively managing engagements, ensuring client satisfaction, and contributing to the growth of junior team members.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $68,000 to $112,000.

• Supervise associate level professionals and delegate engagement responsibilities.
• Responsible for communicating and resolving audit matters that arise during the audit engagement with the support of the engagement manager.

• A PASSION for blockchain and digital assets.
• Licensed CPA preferred.
• BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in blockchain and digital assets is ideal, however, not necessary.
• Familiarity with technical accounting matters common to the industry, such as token issuances, exchange/custodial accounting, DeFI, staking, lending, derivatives accounting, crypto basis tracking, etc.
• Minimum of 3+ plus years of audit experience.
• Prior experience in core assurance services conducting audit planning, developing audit programs, performing testing and preparing work papers is required.
• Knowledge of internal accounting controls, control testing, professional standards and regulations.
• Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to conduct technical research required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and Word.
• Understanding of the blockchain and digital assets technology ecosystem (smart contracts, block explorers, crypto tracking and accounting software, blockchain analysis, and other RegTech tools).
