Role in brief
Coinbase seeks a Derivative Sales Analyst to manage and grow relationships with top derivatives traders, focusing on increasing trading volume and product adoption. This role involves sourcing new high-value clients, monitoring market trends, and maintaining a sales pipeline. It suits individuals with a strong background in financial services or crypto sales and an understanding of derivatives products.
About the role
This role involves cultivating and expanding relationships with Coinbase's top prosumer derivatives traders. The primary goal is to boost trading volume, deepen engagement with the platform, and encourage the adoption of advanced trading products. A key responsibility is to proactively identify and onboard new high-value derivatives traders from competing platforms, leveraging Coinbase's liquidity, fee structure, and user experience to secure conversions.
Success in this position requires a keen eye on the derivatives market, including client trading patterns and competitor offerings. This insight will be used to identify potential upsell opportunities, provide feedback for product and pricing strategies, and deliver structured analytical reports to relevant internal teams. The analyst will also be responsible for maintaining an accurate sales pipeline and forecasting, tracking key performance indicators such as trading volume and active traders, and documenting all client interactions.
A significant part of the work involves re-engaging dormant high-value traders. This is achieved through data-driven account reviews, personalized outreach strategies, and customized incentives designed to restore consistent trading activity. The role demands a proactive, data-driven approach to sales, with a focus on both retention and acquisition within the derivatives trading segment.
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $126,990 to $149,400 USD, with total compensation potentially including equity and bonus eligibility.
